I was recently part of a pilot of an Incident Safety Officer course to Langley City Fire and Rescue two days before this fire, as the instructional designer and project manager. One of the subject matter experts and the instructor of the course is seen in this picture and video news clip wearing a Safety Officer vest.
The loss of life at this incident is tragic and my thoughts are with the family, the firefighters and other first responders that attended this incident.
Being a part of the training development team has gained new meaning as the training we designed, developed and implemented has been pressed into service so quickly.
