Indigenizing the Curriculum

This was a challenging and enlightening experience.

Later I organized a field trip for my colleagues at the Justice Institute of BC to go to the Witness Blanket exhibition at the New Westminster Museum.

I invited Michelle Taylor, Heritage Programmer for the museum to give us an introduction. She not only shared her knowledge of the exhibit, but also a bit about the museum as well. 

Later Rebecca Jules from the Office of Indigenization at the JIBC joined us and shared her personal perspective which truly "brought it to life" as our Director, Perter Grootendorst wrote in an email to the Fire and Safety Division.
