Action Mapping

While at the BCLC, I was able to lead the stakeholders in the corporate responsibility awareness team through a action mapping process. I based my work off of Cathy Moore's work in this area, developing my own approach to its facilitation. Cathy has the concept so well developed that it is pretty easy to pick up and implement.

Representatives from all stakeholder groups worked together in an initial scrum to map out the 3 aspects related to each course goal.

Stickers and larger laminated images were created for stakeholders to using in the mapping process.

Once small individual maps were created, larger wall sized maps were used to create discussion amongst the team.

The photographed maps were translated into Lucid Chart maps.

This produced an up to the minute reference point for all stakeholders, allowing them to comment on all aspects of the course design as it developed.

This is an example of a comment string within Lucid Chart.

We also were able to link out to a SharePoint site we created to centrally locate all of the documents supporting the course design. This made the Lucid Chart maps a visual map for all aspects of the course development.
